Title: Cannot overwrite DirectX 9.0b with 9.0c

Heya, I've spent the morning downloading various files, all seemingly containing 9.0c, but none of them (even though it says "finished") are able to update my directx to 9.0c.

I've seen a directx uninstall utility, but that requires the xp disc, which I do not have on me. (it reverts to dx 8.1 or something similar, allowing me to install a new version)

Anyhow, any ideas how to get around this and install 9.0c?

Did you try this source: DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en).  Can you pass the validation test?

Just tried, downloaded, installed. Same thing, nothing.
