Title: Dual 12V Rails
Post by: tagelmo on August 29, 2006, 02:20:27 PM
I've been confused about the nature of dual 12V rails. Are these two separate lines that both run into the 4-pin 12V connector? Are they two physically separate lines that run on two different wires? I've heard that the second 12V rail is used to power the CPU, and then (I assume) the first rail sends power to the mobo for the graphics card and other devices. Is this correct? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.
