Do you suppose it'll run on a 333mhz laptop with 128MB Ram? I can't really be bothered building a PC for Vista. :P
-
minimum req
A Windows Vista Capable PC includes at least:
* A modern processor (at least 800MHz1).
* 512 MB of system memory.
* A graphics processor that is DirectX 9 capable.
* DVD-ROM Drive3.
strongly recomended
A Windows Vista Premium Ready PC includes at least:
* 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor1.
* 1 GB of system memory.
* Support for DirectX 9 graphics with a WDDM driver, 128 MB of graphics memory (minimum)2, Pixel Shader 2.0 and 32 bits per pixel.
* 40 GB of hard drive capacity with 15 GB free space.

Windows XP runs fine on it.
I suppose I'll give it a shot, see if it starts nagging during the installation.
-
Ok let us know how it works...

Try it in Classic mode...all the other eye-candy will probably grind that laptop to a schreeching halt...

Bumping an old thread here, but I've been away awhile...
To quote the first post in this thread: "It only lasts until June." Which prompts the question, to me at least, what happens then?
-
1 It stops working.
2 you can recover data if your HD into another computer.
3 You may not be able to upgrade to full vista version meaning you may have to do a clean install even if you but Vista
I imagine that they will make a way to upgrade from RC1 to the full version but at this point they offer NO guarantees except you may have to reformat your HD

Did Microsoft properly prepare for the "Hasta la Vista" jokes?
So it seems that Microsoft Vista has kept the Blue Screen of Death "feature"; great.
Nice to know they still need that feature. ;D ;D ;D
Hope the new BSOD uses a lot of eye candy.
"Hasta la Vista,baby"

I think this would be a first for a "Sharware OS"
