Title: Hard Drives
Post by: sark on October 01, 2006, 09:34:00 AM
I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939 and I was just wondering does my motherboard support SATA 3.0GB?
It says SATA on the box but I know there is about 3 different types of SATA.
Thanks in advance.

You think there are three types of SATA. ;)

There's only two. SATA-I and SATA-II. Also known as SATA 150 and SATA 300.

SATA 300 is backwards compatible by use of a jumper.

Your mainboard has SATA I / SATA 150.
