Hello,
I have a dell computer and for a while now I have not been able to get the Microsoft Updates is this a known problem ?
Is there anyway I can get it to work again ?

whats it do when u try to go to the update home page??
try googling windows updates going to the first one
what protections do u have??

I have Avast Pro 8-)
Actually the updates seems fine until I click on the install\download button then everytime it fails installing.

ok what spyware protection do you have?? malware protection??
try dling and installing one at a time.. that works for me most of the time when windows screws up

I've seen this before when an update didn't finish or got the hiccups...
Turn off automatic updates
Go to Control Panel / Add remove Programs...
Uninstall the last update listed...
Travel to the update site and dload the one you just un-installed...
Install it manually...
Re-boot and turn on auto updates...
Click Windows Update from the Start menu and you should be good to go...

It's got nothing at all to do with it being a Dell. It is a software or configuration issue.

What is your problem getting the updates?What does it say?Have you tried
validation?

You didn't say it was a new computer,is it?
