Title: can't access a shared folder from other computers

Hi,

I was wondering if i could get some help here. I tried to set up a small network at home. I have two computers that i want them to be able to share files. So i made sure that they are in the same workgroup and then, created a folder. I made it shared throughout the network by going to properties -> sharing. It would not let me in when trying to access by another computer. I have even tried to disable the firewall on both computers. I don't know what else i'd have missed out.

I need help from you experts

What operating systems are installed on these machines ?
