Title: SLOW INTERNET CONNECTION

Hi
   i have had a slow internet connection for the last 3 days, at first i thought it was the cmp so i reformated, its just the same! it is slower than dial up, i have run my avg and nothing was detected, i have also contacted aol and they assure me that aol is fine, can anybody come up with any suggestions  :'(

avg anti-spyware

spybot

adaware

Ccleaner


dl these update them

turn off system restore

reboot in safe mode

do all your scans including the ones i gave

report back with results

Did you really reformat or just reinstall windows?

at first i tried to reformat but it wouldnt let me, so i re-installed xp, one thing i forgot to mention was that when i put my comp on it asked me for the back up disk, that was the only way i could get onto my comp by putting the back up disk in then windows would start, but it was still slow before all this happened, i have tried rebooting in safe mode and all i get coming up is "select boot service"

                   there was a lot of trcking cookies, and a thing called a cool search installer, and something about a spy sheriff,its all double dutch to me m8,but i will check the quarentined stuff and get back to you.
