Title: scientific-atlanta webSTAR 2000 series cable

  ::) Having trouble connecting a DELL windows XP to the internet via a webstar 2000 cable, it keeps saying network adapter error with the malfunctioning adapter being the scientific-atlanta webstar series cable being the problem.
How do we get round this problem?

Any chance you can tried a different network adapter, Claire?  Yours may be faulty.

Failing that, please provide make and model for your network adapter and cable router (if that's what you're talking about); I'm a little unclear which is which here...
