hello there i am doug
i am having a problem with Ndis2 Driver
in the device manager it has an exclamation on it and when i into it it says it can not load the device driver so i tried to upgrade it but then it says the best driver is already installed so i am confused please does anyone have any good ideas??
please if possible email me direct to [email protected] thank you

Right click the offending device in Device and select Remove.
Make sure beforehand you have the correct driver.
Re-boot and re-install the driver and you should be good to go...
-
i have done as you said but now that i have rebooted Ndis2 Driver is no longer in the list and i have no idea how to reload the driver

What is the motherboard and network adapter? Even better, download and run Everest Home, make a report and post the WHOLE THING here. We can get you going. ;)

You appear to be using dial up. If that is the case, not to worry about the ndis2 driver. It is for the ethernet adapter. Windows detects the the ethernet adapter and attempts to load drivers for it. A NIC cannot fully initialize unless it is connected. You can safely ignore it or disable it. If you decide to use broadband, it will need to be enabled and connected to the router or modem.
-
ok and yes im using dial-up internet so that is good to hear.
although i am still having the same problems as before i can not change the colors from 16 back to 256 and i keep getting illegal operation windows as i sign into messengers
-
One thing at a time. Do you know the EXACT model of your ATI card?
-
no im sorry i dont is there a way i can look it up
-
Well, we know that is a GXa and ALL of the drivers you need are on the Dell site. Just choose the video driver from the Windows 98SE download area.
