Title: Video watching problem?
Post by: epicxsg on December 04, 2006, 01:37:59 PM
When I try to watch a video from a website, not downloading it(a stream I guess its called?) Either a box pops up that says "Can not show DirectShow player or the screen is just completely black and won't load anything. This just started to happen a few days ago. Any suggestions?

Did you change anything before this started happening?

Well around when this started happened I downloaded that gold-codec thing and now I have a virus busters pop-up all the time

Virus busters is a virus, I do believe.
As GX1 would say, until that computer's clean all bets are off
I would recommend posting in the virus section and get some help cleaning that computer up, and see if that cures your problem.

Virus Busters or Virus Bursters?

Thankyou   ;D
As for virus bursters or busters, it's a constant popup problem, so I think it's malware no matter what it's called

RogueRemover (http://www.malwarebytes.org/)
