Title: keyboard typing errors

 :-[     I AM HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY KEYBOARD TYPING THE WRONG LETTERS. I DON'T KNOW WHY , I CAN BE TYPING AND AL OF A SUDDEN IT WILL STOP TYPING THE KEYS  I'M HITTING AND TYPE WHAT EVER IT WANTS TO . EX: I HIT THE P KEY AND IT TYPES THE X  KEY. I TYPE I LOVE AND IT TYPES X FCGP. DO I HAVE A VIRUS OR AM I BEING HACKED. IT HAPPEN ON AND OFF LINE. I HAVE A WIRELESS KEYBOARD AND MOUSE FROM MICROSOFT. HELP ME . PLEASE. P.S. I AM RUNNING WIN XP, AND I HAD TO BUY A NEW MOUSE, I INSTALLED THE SAFTWARE AND WAS USING IT WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS FOR 3 OR 4 MONTHS BEFORE I HAD ANY PROBLEMS ::)

case no one has told you before. ;D

Have you tried new batteries?


 While you were using all capital
letters? :-?

If it is wireless, make sure it has a good view of the receiver. Have you tried another keyboard, or this keyboard on another computer?
Please do not type in capitals.

I assumed that it caused the Caps Lock key to stick as well.

 :-? Thank you, but it was not the batterys, but I did contact HP and downloaded (HP Multimedia Keyboard/Mouse Driver Update - sp26752).This issue occurs when Microsoft update MS06-015 is installed. Everything seem to be working fine now. Please use this in case someone else has this problem. I hope this does help since  you have helped me so much. :D

And the caps lock issue was fixed as well ! !

 :-? I never had a problem with the keys locking, just typing the wrong characters. I use caps because changing back and forth sem to cause the problem. Yes now I can use both. ;D

Sometimes worms or viruses results in things like this.

I recommend you to do a virus check for your PC.

Or , reformat and reinstall your Operating System

ChiChi has already solved this issue and it was due to a microsoft update MS06-015. ;)
