When did this started to happen?
Did you recently install anything new on the computer? Hardware and sofware
Have you tried to reinstall the drivers for your device?
When you turn on your computer from a cold boot (computer off) it doesn't work?
Does it show that your computer is connected? or is there an X on the connections?
