Can we have some more information about your PC?
For example, what OS?
I guess you have IE - what version?
Can you remember what you deleted?
Did anything else happen or change before this started?
Are the files you deleted in the recycle bin?
-
i sound pathetic i know but i dont know what an os is i have windows xp the things i deleted were things like tvants etc but also things that looked like WCX2393 and there were a few of them
-
An OS is Operating System, I should've explained better.
XP is your OS.
How about my other questions?
And can you explain more about this "ripply watery effect"?
Does it happen all the time?
On certain sites?
What does it look like?
Does it do it all the time, just on the web or just on files on your PC?
-
only just starting happening when i go to my documents etc it is fine but on anything web based it just all goes wrong
the page is still and as soon as i scroll down either with the roller on the mouse or on screen the page starts again from the top and moves down a bit giving the illusion of a water ripply effect on the screen
any ideas what i could have done?

I guess so. If not, then it really is magical, IE6 working with the PC off.
Actually, that's an idea, IE might work better without turning the PC on . . .

Any version of IE works far better with the machine turned off.
-
I thought so.
A theory I must test soon . . .

You may want to make your own thread for your question, searcher, to save confusing people.
Thanks.
