Title: How to recover important files
Post by: foxljs on March 14, 2007, 10:42:42 PM
I have a lot of pictures and folders that ended up deleted, somehow. And now they're only location is in "C:\Documents and settings\owner\recent" I believe they are ".lnk" files. Now I cannot open them.. I found them in the "RECENT FOLDER" but everytime I try to open them it says they point to a shortcut that cannot be found. How do I restore these files? I can see their file names plain as day in my recent folder--but I cannot open them. Is there any way to restore these files??

I see lots of posts, such as this one, in computer help forums.

Though some may consider this as "spam", it isn't, becuase I want people to know about this software program...File Recover.  It's not free, but the investment is worth it, since I have used this program and it truly is a "gem"...it does exactly what it is intended to do...and the $39.95 (USD) price is well worth the aggravation caused by accidental file deletion.

Not only should you have a program, such as this one, installed on your computer, you should always be constantly backing up any programs and/or files you want to save...in case something like this happens...I can't stress enough...BACKUP!  BACKUP!  BACKUP!
