This offer has already been made to the top forum members. However, since I did not meet the quota, I'm extending this offer to any other Computer Hope forum members or visitors.
For an initial test I'll be giving away several hundred Computer Hope pens for free. I'll also be paying the shipping and handling costs no matter where you're in the world. Two or more pens will be sent, one being twist-action light pen that cycles through various colors with batteries included and the other a traditional bic pen both with the Computer Hope name and URL.
Please only submit your address once and only one per person. Once the quota has been met all pens will be sent out around the same time. I'll mention it on the forums when that happens.
If you were one of the members who I e-mailed two weeks ago and you've already submitted your address you don't need to submit it again. As mentioned above I'm just waiting until I meet my quota then sending them all out at once.
This is not a gimmick or cheap way to get address. Like everything on Computer Hope it's 100% free and you'll only be sent the pens and nothing else from Computer Hope or any other company. This test is being done to make sure the swag script works and for a learning experience on how to send mail everywhere in the world for future giveaways, prizes, and goodies. :)

Just another update. As mentioned earlier I haven't sent any pens out yet, waiting until I meet my quota, maybe if not met by next week I'll start sending out to those who have already submitted. Also I'm *assuming* anyone outside the United States will have to wait even longer, I'm sure it takes awhile for things to get shipped outside the U.S.

In that case, Nathan, I should mention something: After a few days of not receiving pens, I figured you tried to ship FedEx or something like that. So I made a second form with both P.O. box and Street Address. If that means there's a duplicate, I apologize in advance. :(

It's good that you're taking the necessary precautions when online and yes I plan on giving out a lot more swag and other goodies in the future. This first test is only being done to test the script and get me familiarized with the whole process of mailing everywhere in the world. :)

I got the e-mail notice a while back but did not respond, I didn't know if it was a hoax.
For a week or two, a while back, I got e-mail notices almost everyday, that ComputerHope was responding to my request to change my password and I never requested such. ::)

Just an update, I met the quota, so for now no more people will be able register to get free pens. However needed to also order a few hundred padded envelopes to distribute the pens. So, hopefully once these get in I'll get the pens sent out. I imagine should be some time next week.
I'll keep you updated.

A large portion of the pens for users who live in the United States and submitted their addresses have been shipped and you'll likely be receiving them by the end of next week. I'll also be sending out the remaining of the United States submissions Monday.
For all you International users who have submitted your address I've got all the packages done and postage paid but still working out filling out all the custom paper work. However, I hope to also get them out all out before the end of next week as well.
I didn't realize I was going to have to fill out customs paper work for each individual package and with several dozen of them takes a lot of additional work. ;)

Additional update: The remaining bulk of the US mails have gone out (AVOID US post office this week at all cost, big mess with all the postal changes starting on the 14th).
Some of the Internationals were also sent out today. Should finish filling out the remaining of the International customs paper work and get all the remaining of them out by tomorrow.
Regarding batteries. I'd imagine that they can be replaced at a local Radio Shack (I haven't confirmed but will).

Just unscrew the bottom half. Then, when you put the batteries in the top half, make sure the negative/flat sides are facing out.

All pens with the exception of three have been sent out. Users: Neil K., James J., and Jonathan G. will not be sent out because the Post office and I cannot figure out the country you live in. (I excluded full last names to protect users privacy). Also I manually caught a lot of duplicated mailing addresses I did not send multiple pens to users who submitted their address more than once.
I can't say with certainty how long it will take for users outside the United States to get their pens, however users who submitted their addresses and live in the United States should receive their pens no later than by the end of next week.
If you live outside the United States I would really appreciate if you let me know what country you live in and when you received the pens just for my own personal knowledge. :) The postmaster warned me that all people who submitted their address and live in Romania may not get their pens because of a lot of mail issues associated around that country. But I'd imagine everyone else should get their pens.
I've attached a picture of the pen everyone seems to like for those who are curious. :D

Got my Pens Today Friday May 18th.
The light pen is really cool... My wife saw me playing with it and wants to steal it from me to show people at her work... Only fear I have with that is that the pen will get snatched by someone.

I haven't received any notification of users in Australia receiving their pens. However, if I recall correctly there was only 5-8 of you. I purged the addresses after sending them out so can't say for certain.
