I am running Mozilla, but when I try to download media from the web, it says I'm offline, what do I do?

Assuming you are using Windows XP, check your internet connection in Control Panel.

For more help, please tell us what OS you have and what version of firefox you are using. It would also help if you mentioned what connection you have.

I am running XP HE and I am using Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.3. I have Comcast wireless connected through a router in the room next door. (I don't know what kind of router it is.) My roommate next door can download media but I can't. Even as I am typing this it says that I'm offline.

Are you using an extension that caches webmaterial? Fastfox, for example.
