Title: Windows Word Document Issue. Underling goes away.
Post by: brenthunt on May 20, 2007, 12:33:39 PM
I have a letter I send to friends and one of the sentences I had underlined. When I copied and pasted it into my Mozilla email compose the underlining disappeared.

If I set for HTML format it would appear but now all single spacing became double spaced and all double spacing became triple spaced.

I have Mozilla as my browser with the default email program that came with it.

Mozilla 1.7.13

Just attach the document to the email instead, it saves a lot of hassle.

Why not just Compose it in the e-mail client where it will retain all formatting when sent ? ?
TBird which is what is built in to Mozilla has almost every feature of a Word doc

I need the letter to appear as a personal letter to the person.

If I compose it in "Composer" how do I save it and retrieve it later?

I'm not familiar with TBird, but doesn't it have an Outbox or Sent Messages folder, a folder where a copy of outgoing messages are kept?

Yes there is a sent folder. But how does that solve the problem of the missing underlining?

Once you copy the text to TBird, just make the necessary changes.  I have a feeling that this is just something you'll have to live with.

I don't know.  I was just answering your question, "If I compose it in "Composer" how do I save it and retrieve it later?"

Did you read patio's post?  Have you tried composing in TBird (I presume that's the Mozilla email client you're referring to)?  Underline is rather basic font feature.  Have you not looked at all the features of TBird?
