Title: How do I combine two word documents
Post by: RockenNS100 on May 21, 2007, 01:05:03 PM
Ok so for my English we had to make  magazines.
I made each article/add/filler etc. on a different
word document, is there any way for me to
combine them together? ???

I thought of that but I made collages and
stuff on some of adds and I can't get
them to copy at the same time.

I looked at Compare and Merge after my first reply.  Seems to me it's not really going to work for him because it is designed to compare to two documents, identify differences, and merge them without any duplication of content.  And, that's not what he wants to do.  But, I'm not very familiar with that tool, so I could be wrong.

1. Open document 1 and document 2 in Word ( 1 & 2 refer to the order you want them incombined doc)

2. Go to document 2. Edit - Select All - Copy

3. Go to the end of document 1. Edit - paste. Tidy up.

4. Save as document 3

contrex, I suggested copy and paste back in reply #2.  He said that doesn't work for certain reasons.

I'm not sure if this would work with Rocken's documents but you could try opening document 1 and then insert file (Document 2).
