Title: Monitor Problem

I have a Packard Bell computer and monitor but it has started to have problems when starting it up, to get the monitor started i have to take the usb cable comming from monitor and alternate it between the 4 usb ports on computer and after putting it in i try to start computer.... this happens but monitor stays off so once again i move usb to another port and try again......this can be done for hours and hours moving the usb cable around then eventually it starts. Sometimes i get a beeping noise about 20 attempts before it starts Please can someone help... this is my old puter i am on just now and the pack bell monitors works fine on it . Thanks

could you possibly tell us what sort of beep code you are getting
