Post by: bunbun008 on October 10, 2007, 07:30:14 AM
I have deleted hard drive, reformatted partition to use all space, made win 2000 boot disk, but unable to completely install win 2000 because of stop error ox000000ce (driver unloaded without canceling pending operations).  I have win 2000 cd in drive and bootable disk in a: ??? :'(

Commonly occurs after installing faulty drivers or system services. Install CD may be damaged or corrupted or a bad copy. Try a different install CD.

It should show something in front of:
Quote
ox000000ce (driver unloaded without canceling pending operations)
...like what file installation is complaining about.

For example this error during installation is often caused by partmgr.sys if there are problems with the hard drive. When you did the format, did you take the Quick format ? - this skips the bad sector checking.
