Title: Powering External USB 2.5" Hard Drive
Post by: compEngineer0 on October 11, 2007, 06:47:29 PM
I just got an external 2.5" hard drive and it comes with a usb cable where one end has two usb connectors. i'm thinking the extra connector is for additional power, but is it required or recommend? it seems to work fine off of just one connector which is good because it is going in my car, but i just want to make sure.

You're right, double USB gives you more power, and as for adapter:
