Hey everyone
Ive been having some issues with my sound , when ever i get 2 or 3 minutes into a basic mp3 of avi video file , my computers sound goes all echo fuzzy and distorted .... i actually changed around sound cards and am now using a basic realtek for my sound , i had to unplug my 5.1 speakers because the sound was unbearable ...... i changed them round and im still getting the same thing , ive uninstall ed all the all trust sound drivers and disabled anything that could be conflicting with it , i know its not a speaker problem because i've tried 2 sets of speakers and i get the same thing . I have been having issues with my 5.1 soundcard since ive had it , i get into about a hour of audio and every fast forwards the video and sound completely screw up , ive uploaded a sound preview of what it sounds like ...... im open to all suggestions on this , if i haven't got sound i haven't got film ,or music , which is a big no no , i need my sound running guys and girls , ive tried everything i know to get this working . please help .
Ps. when ever the sound does tend to mess up , my computer also hangs extremely bad ........ its not possible to move the mouse without it vaulting out of control ....
I want to focus on sorting my reltek sound out ...... if my 5.1 seems to work along the way great.... :) :)
Thanks for reading

-
Yes thats how my speakers sound. :)

How long ago did it start? Do you remember any changes done to your computer at that time?

Its written in my 1st comment that ive had this issue since ive had it , and no ive made no changes.

any 1 :-\

Maybe that sound card is just bad. Did you have any issues with on-board Realtek before you installed new sound card?
-
Yeah , distorted not as bad as my 5.1 but still pretty bad. :'(

I'm running out of options here. Maybe, there is something wrong with your mobo.
How old is this computer?
Did you try to find newer mobo chipset driver?
Any chance to borrow audio card from your friend?
-
The mobo is 6 months old , and ive already tried another sound card ........ :-\ and you haven't really told me to do anything , you've just asked a bunch of questions they lead to no where .....
-
Well...I asked you questions just to know more about your problem, but you tried already all things I'd try.
At this point, I simply don't know what else you could possibly try... :'(
-
Perhaps you should start over completely and reinstall Windows. After you've reinstalled try playing some mp3s before you install anything (unless of course you need to install drivers for your sound card). If it still acts up then I'm betting my money on a hardware issue.
-
I reformat regularly ...and im pretty sure its a hardware conflict ..... what ..i don't know ..... and broni ....... im just saying you didn't give advice you posted one thing after a other then where completely clueless...i think your confusing yourself .. :-\

Look in the sound properties and mute any devices that are not being presently used (mic, modem, synthesizer, etc). It could be a problem with circuit isolation that is causing unwanted feedback. If that doesn't work, I don't lnow what else to suggest.
