I got a Dell Latitude C840 laptop with no OS installed.
When I turned it on to load win 98 SE
The screen only showed middle part of screen. I turned off laptop restarted it hit F2 to get into bios did not change anything hit exit I got the full screen. So for fun I thought let me turn off laptop and start it again see what happens it went right back to small screen. Why?
Win 98 SE issues
It will not shut down during setup after setup or go to MS Dos prompt cursor just blinks. I have to turn off laptop each time. It will shut down in safe mode
During Setup I see Win98 SE logo then I see what looks like a Red Flag logo then it disappears.
I can only get 16 colors need 256 at least. Do not have system drivers for this machine.
