Title: Are these good specs??

hello everyone,

got some specs here that would like to know if they r cool to run games for a couple of years..

-Intel Core2 Duo E6750 2,66GHz 4MB 1333MHz 775.

- Asus Intel P35 P5K Socket LGA 775 + DualChannel.

-2 GB DDR2 RAM PC 667.

- Nvidia 8600GTS .

For the most part, it looks good. One thing I'd change though is the 8600GTS. It's fine for now, but won't last as long as something like the 8800GTS. If you can, wait a little longer for the new 8800GT. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's supposed to retail at about $250 for the 512MB version and $200 for the 256MB version while still giving the performance of an 8800GTS 320MB if not a 640MB.

If you wanna run games for a few years then the Q6600 is a better deal. But you should probably wait till January when the new Quad Core CPUs will be released. Well worth the wait.

And an 8800 GTS/ HD 2900 Pro are the only cards to buy right now. The 8800 GT is not going to be better than the current 8800 GTS, and a new one is coming out. Again, January is when the new cards come out, and it's also well worth the wait.

Not to mention you should wait for 780i SLi, which should be released in 2 weeks.
