Post by: freedom07 on December 27, 2007, 08:30:03 AM
When i go to pull up the internet explorer the page will come up. but it takes up to a minute before it either connects to yahoo or it starts reciveing from yahoo. and during that time i cant minimize the window or anything. If i do try to i get the explorer is not responding. But once it does come up its still slow some times. What do i need to do at this point to fix the problem

AMD 64 3000+

NVIDIA 6600

1 gig of RAM

XP w/sp2

AVG free edition

SUPERanti-spyware

COMANDO fire wall w/windows fire wall

Stopzilla

Try Firefox, and see if same thing happens.

hey genius, why the sarcasm over the caps lock?  If there is a "computer reason" for keeping the caps off, then say so.  I am a diabetic, and MAYBE one day, you too will get enjoy the benefits of slowly going blind.  Let it rest, please.

I apologise for your Medical condition.
There was no mention of this prior in any of your previous posts.
I too am suffering from bad eyes but i've made adjustments.

Any browser including Firefox has this built in.

But again if you are taking it personally all i can say is i'm sorry.

You asked for a reason not to post in all capital letters. People who deal with typography will tell you that text in all capital letters are harder for humans to read (and I personally agree). It is something about the shapes the words form in our brains. Ever wondered why legal texts and disclaimers are often written in all caps? ;)

Thanks for the enlightenment; it is not really personal issue, even though it might appear.  My primace is that the comments made an immediate turn away from the issue at hand; and that was assisting someone with a computer issue.  We must keep the main thing the main thing.

Comments like the previous do nothing to enhance the quality of this forum, they only detract from it.  Far too many forums are ruined by people who become cynical and sarcastic; not to say that a little humor, doesn't have a place.  Please remember, I am not offended, just perplexed at some of the comments I see.  I never mentioned any medical issue, because it is not relevant to asking and answering questions.  Anyway, this is a great forum and has some very knowledgable posters, so keep up the good posting.  8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
