Hi guys
can a person find out an ip address of a user on a forum and if a person finds out the ip address can he find out where the person lives.

Anything is possible if you put the work into it. Most people don't have the skills to do what you are asking. To be safe always be polite when on the web... ;D

There are so many scenarios.
Yes, it could be possible. No, not everyone can do that without big efforts and a lot of time - but it depends, it could be as easy as reading your neighbor number on his door, or it could be as hard as trying to figure who sent a letter by just reading the letter (no addresses on the envelope).
