Title: Mercury Desktop monitor colour turns pink after a thunderstorm.

After a thunderstom,the monitor was on.I switched it off,later to put it on noticing that the colour has turned pink,i need an urgent solution to fix this problem.I will appreciate any help and contribution!   ???

Was the monitor on during the storm? Are you using a surge protector? Have you tried another monitor to test your machine?

What is the make and model of your montior?

yes,the monitor was on during the thunderstorm,i dont have any thunder protector,the name is 15 inches Mercury monitor( 85watts) ,though i cannot remember the model.I have also tried other monitors on the computer and they are okay.Pls help!

If it's a CRT (not flat panel) then one of the "guns" are blown.  It's not worth repairing...replace it.

i was thinking it could be the RGB driver ic(LM2469 or LM1269) for the CRT that could be the problem,so replacing it cannot fix the problem.Suggestions please.!

Open the OSD. Arrow to Degauss. Press Degauss. Degauss= Demagnetise.

I don't think degauss would work in this case, but you could try anyway.
