Title: Transferring video
Post by: JDWagner on May 09, 2008, 03:06:14 PM
I am trying to transfer short video clips (taken with a digital camera and downloaded onto a computer) from my old computer to either my new computer or ANY type of storage device.  The catch is, my old computer does not have a DVD burner.  Is there any other way I will be able to transfer/store these videos?  (The old computer is a DELL, using Windows XP as the operating system.  The new computer is a Dell, using Windows Vista.  The camera and software are Kodak Easyshare).

Any help would be appreciated.  I cannot lose these videos!

Thanks,
JDW

But can you transfer the film clips - without the presence of the DVD burner? If you can, then there are several free converters about to change the format if you want. Some converters listed here (http://pcsourcepoint.blogspot.com/2008/02/video-format-conversions-software.html) which I describe...

Depending on file size, and your old computer features, you can use USB stick, memory card, email, upload to http://www.gigasize.com/, and download on new computer....
