Title: weird intranet connectivity
Post by: acana007 on May 14, 2008, 12:27:45 PM
heres my problem. i have 2 computers hooked up into a router a dlink DI-524. this works fine i can connect my wii and it still works fine. however when i try to connect my machine via cat5E cable it causes every computer to start losing their connections then its limited connections then the get the full connections then it repeats  none, limited, full, to none.

but this stops as soon as i unplug my computer from the router  please help

Do you mean that you can connect everything wirelessly, and it's fine?

Then I don't get what you mean when you say everything is fine on the router, but when you try to connect via cat5 cable, you lose connectivity.  Are you attempting a peer to peer connection?

no i am not attempting a p2p  i am just plugging in my machine to get internet but when i do that it disconnects goes to limited to connected and does that all over agian  but it does that to all of my computers but is fine when my machine is unplugged but it only happens when i plug in my machine when i try a different machine it doesn't do that. also my firmware is to date
