Hey i have internet explorer 7 and the problem is that most videos on youtube wouldnt play and they only show the loading round circle kinda thing: (http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/4517/72127499yh7.jpg). i had problem with IE since long time like it used to freeze a lot and many weird problem so i just got my new harddrive and everything is working fine except for youtube videos. Yes youtube is working fine on firefox. i tried reinstalling IE 7, system restore nothing worked.
i really hope someone replies ...

I'd reset your browsers settings to make sure an ActiveX component is not blocked. Also make sure you have latest Flash Player installed from Adobe.
Also...do you have a high speed connection? If Dial-up or satellite it will take a while... your system cant play them until a percentage of them are downloaded as a precache before playing. For the fact that its just IE, I am guessing you have high speed.

how can i reset my browsers settings ? and how can i make sure that activex isnt blocked ... and yes i have the latest flash player installed ... yes i have high speed since videos working fine using firefox .. thanks for replying

Youtube gave me problems We couldnt view videos for one week usually it does on maintence

In IE, go Tools>Internet Options>Security tab, click on Custom level button, and make sure, your settings look like this:

Close IE.
Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons). See, if Flash plays here.

You can't. This IE type doesn't have any. Just go to any page with Flash, and see, if IE will play it.

I've been having the problem for a while now. I guess its from your ISP or from youtube them selves.

Do a maleware scan I know this to sometimes cause problems.
