hi i am going to Florida for a holiday soon and was wondering if anyone had purchased a laptop from there i am from the UK and and i was wondering if anyone has had any problems with a laptop purchased from the USA. IE connection problems warranties etc or would your advice be purchase from your own country only would be grateful for advice thankyou

Though I'm not laptop savy.  I heard things about Toshiba.  Dells are decient but I would stay away from them if you have tech problems.  Hope this helps.

Welcome to the CH forums.

Check the voltage input to the mains transformer, 240v may not be catered for.

My dell Inspiron 1720, and every other Inspiron I've seen supports AC input ranging from 100-240V, I would recommend a cheap dell laptop.
