Title: Restore Points help
Post by: nymph4 on July 07, 2008, 10:50:48 AM
I am running win xp pro and wanted to know about restore points?

If I set the restore points slider to 0 % it says I will be useing 200 MB of my hard drive for restore points. And it I st the slider to 1. % it says it will use 1122 MB of my hard drive for restore points.

So how many restor points can I have in 0. % 200 MB of my hard drive   andhow many can I have in 1. % 1122 MB of my hard drive??

System Restore points are located here:
C:\System Volume Information\_restore{6EFB3312-5B30-4CC4-B9A7-CF16443E8C25}\

Looking at my restore points, each of them are about 40 to 120mb.

In 200mb, I would think about 1 or 2 restore points can be saved.

In 1122mb, maybe about 11.

Yep.

That's why they are called 'Restore Points'. They will stay there until you need to restore your computer to an earlier time.
