I'm so lost! I completely reboated my computer (pulled the jumper) because it wasn't working anymore, and now it won't read the CD to reload Windows XP. Then I went back to it, and now my monitor seems to not be working either. It will turn on, but no picture will show up. The contrast settings are normal, but I don't know what's wrong. Please help!!

i don't really know what happened to it. It was fine one day, then I turned it off and when i turned it back on it said invaild system disc, even though there wasn't anything in there. The bios is still the same... all the defaults are set.

ok two questions caitlin, did you pull the jumper out when the PC was running or turned off..... secondly when you pulled the jumper out were you ESD protected.
-
I pulled the jumper when the computer was off, and i believe it was esd protected.
-
did you have a ESD strap on, or did you ground yourself by touching the power supply, if not then static discharge might have messed up some of your components on the Mobo....
