-
What do you mean by 'flipping back to previous pages'?
-
when i am looking at ebay pages for example i will get to page 4 and it will go back to page one by itself it does it on all web pages but i just used that for an example
-
What Internet Browser are you using?
-
im not too smart when it comes to these things so i am using ie6 and i have downloaded mozilla firefox and it still doesnt help hope i answered your question
-
Yep. And my next one: Try another browser.
All right...
Does this page-flipping happen all the time?
How long has this been happening for?
-
what browsers are available ? and yes it happens all the time. you have no clue how hard it is to write this i have to keep pushing the forward button to get back to this. it has been doing this for like a week now. and thank you so much for trying to help me on this it mean a lot to me .
-
what browsers are available ?
Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox are the most popular but there are other ones like Opera and Maxthon.
Can you give us an example (a link).
-
im not sure what you mean give us an example like a link sorry
-
An example of the page that keeps flipping back.
For example:
-
www.ebay.com , www.armstrongmywire.com , www.myspace.com and many more its all web pages that i look at that does it
-
could your backspace key be stuck?
open a word/text document, and see if what you write is automatically being deleted.
or, you could have some mouse gestures set.
for example, this is on my machine:
-
no i can type and it doesnt erase anything . and i have no clue what mouse gestures are. the only time i have any problem on my computer is when im surfing the web.
-
is this a laptop or a desktop?
-
desktop its an e-machine w3502
-
Exactly how long has this been happening?
-
for a week is how long its been doing this its starting to be a pain
-
I suggest doing a System Restore to a few days before the problem started happening.
More info on System Restore here:

-
i have restored it back to a week before this starting happening and that didnt work i have went as far back as april and no luck
-
I honestly don't know what might be up with your computer.
I do have a suggestion though.
To rule out the act of malware (computer viruses), I strongly suggest you look here:
http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,46313.0.html
If you post the three logs here, one of our Malware Specialists can either rule out the possibility of a virus or help you remove it.
If you need any help with any of those steps, we will be more than happy to assist you. ;)
-
do i still need to do this even though i have already run a virus check thing through avg.com im seriously ready to just buy a new computer but i dont want too i already have a few others that need fixed
-
If you don't want to go through it, I suggest posting a HijackThis log (step 6)
Relatively simple. Download, install, run, save, post.
-
will doing that harm my computer in anyway ? this being messed up is putting a damper on my ebay selling and bidding and i dont want to be lost without anyway to keep in contact with my buyers thank you very much for your help
-
No. It will only gather information about current running processes, startup items, browser toolbars. It's pretty much just a tool for pointing out any mistakes.
You can get it here:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/hijackthis.html
It has a good description and user reviews if you're interested.

do i repost here my findings ?
