This is great news. Despite some of the annoyances we've had with McAfee, I'm impressed that they resolved this issue so quickly. This is a process that often takes months!

This is great news.
I know.... My SiteAdvisor Firefox addon (http://www.siteadvisor.com/download/ff_preinstall.html) showed it was green....

Good news. Unfortunately it required that I had to removed the file they claimed was infected but really wasn't. Still working on finding a way to have it on the site without McAfee thinking it's actually a threat.
-
Hmm, was the file hosted on your own server or was it hosted remotely? I never took a look at the file in question, so I don't even know what it was. If it's on your server, perhaps re-adding it wouldn't throw up a red flag the second time around; they could have scanned it with an old database. Just a thought.

File was hosted on Computer hope server and was a simple CD-ROM driver for older systems. I and many other forum members ran it through various scans and all came up empty. McAfee wanted me to send file to them to have it checked, I did, but nothing has been done with it. Well, we're just going to have to wait and see what happens next, I suppose. Ex_Brit has definitely been a big help here; I'm sure he'll continue to back us up in this matter. If it doesn't work out, then we'll just have to find some sort of alternative. We've got a lot of resourceful people here who can surely come up with plenty of ideas.

Nathan...
Happy to see you in the green, my friend...even if you had to remove the file.
Let's see what McAfee decides with the file in question...and maybe have it put back where it belongs.

Good good Now I can delete Itab off my pc.
So I dont have to see that yellow scary rating.
-
Unfortunatetly, it's gone yellow again for me.... >:(
-
Same here, mscdx221.exe again.

Same here, mscdx221.exe again.
Nathan must have added the file again. I can only imagine how frustrating it can be. >:(
-
Wait, my Firefox addon tells me the site is yellow. But when I click on "Site details", it tells me the site is green. ???
I think McAfee would want to do a bit of updating on all their systems.

Sigh.. There should be no reason why it would have gone yellow again. I have not resubmitted the file because I've feared that doing so would change the rating. They're having me go through submitting the file for an analysis, which I've done yet again and still getting no where with that.
The file is not on Computer Hope so if it's yellow again for some of you it's yet again another problem with McAfee.

It's green here...
-
I just installed the Firefox addon for Site Advisor. I did Google a search for "free computer help". Computer Hope came up "green".
I also went to the Site Advisor main site and did an analysis of www.computerhope.com...again...green.
The reported file is not being listed.
-
Strangely enough, it's green again.
-
Yep, just green again this morning. ::)
