How can I add my flash drive designation to the send to menu? My A floppy is the only one there. Using Win98SE.
-
I am open to correction here but not sure 98 will ''see'' this in the send-to options.
Anyways - I'd suggest that if you can ID your flash drive in win explorer or my computer, then either rightclick ''copy'' files to copy stuff (or cut to move) from original source, and then rightclick ''paste'' into the flash drive. Drag and drop should work too.
A reminder tho probably not needed ... from keyboard - ctrl+c = copy, ctrl+v = paste and ctrl+x = cut.
Also re drag and drop - if working in same drive default is ''move'' - if drive to drive default is ''copy''. Use of CTRL key can be used as needed to reverse either of these.

Good luck!

Tried the annoyances.org article first and it worked as far as adding to the menu.
Haven't had the chance to use it yet. Thanks again

You're welcome :)

I have picked this thread up and followed it with much interest because I, too, am interested in adding an option yo my "send to" folder. :). I would like to add my removable thumb drive to the "send to" menu. I shall be grateful if someone could explain to me, in some detail, how to acomplish this. :-[ Kindest regards. George.

drmsucks - many thanks for waking me up. :-[ . I can not explain why I fumbled twice like that in such a short post. I'll be glad to heed your advice, for which I am grateful. :-[ . My OS is ME. Kindest regards, George.

patio- Your suggestion proved to be a very worthwhile one. I was not, at all, familiar with Windows PowerToys, but now, after a half hour or more of most enlightening and interesting reading , I feel that I have learned a new Windows technology. I have decided not to download any of it at this time, but to continue with the simple "save as" feature I have been using. I really do appreciate your help. :) Kindest regards, George.
