HELP!!! My XP crashed and won't let me logon well it logs on then immediatly logs off again. I used an antivirus program that deleted some of my files for XP and I need to recover them. P. S> I don't know which files were deltd but could sure use some help THANX in advance!!! :-\

do u have the windows xp CD? u need the original that u have installed on your PC

What does "lost disc" in the thread title mean? Does it mean you lost your XP install disc? If so, you need to get another one, unless your PC has a recovery partition. However you did not tell us anything at all about what kind of PC it is, what antivirus program you used, what the files were that got deleted, and so on.
So look for that disc.

I lost my installation disc Dell PC, Used Zone alarm pro suite, don't know exactly what files were deltd would someone elses(friend of mine) disc work?? Thanx again

You'll never know until you try it.

Do you have your product key? I've done installs with copied discs before. I had to call microsoft to explain the situation and they issued me activation code. You have to have the same version of XP for this to work.
