im pretty shure that proxys go through like another server and drivers have code that like link the thing to the computer so the computer knows what to so with it i think

Proxy server is more, or less like a router, only more powerful in features:

Driver is a piece of software, which allows communication between any computer program, and a device.
For instance, M$ Word talks to printer driver in order to print whatever you typed in.
It's like a cab passenger, telling the cab driver to turn right. Driver's brain allows driver's hands to turn steering wheel to the right.

The plural of "proxy" is "proxies".

Yes. Any software program that needs to print will use the printer driver.

...and the driver will translate the program instructions into instructions for the hardware, in this case, the printer.

Imagine you are typing on your keyboard.
How do all the electrical signals get to the computer?
Every time you press a key, a signal is sent, and imagine that every signal is a bus.
You will need someone to drive the bus to the computer. That is the driver.

Heh, yes. Pretty bored.
