Title: Windows Won't let me Select more than one item at a time in windows vista?
Post by: pura9910 on September 25, 2008, 12:05:35 PM
okay, so you all know how you can move your mouse over several files and select them by holding in the left mouse button, or use ctrl + click, go to the "edit" Menu and click "select all". well, Windows Vista Won't let me do that, but only on my account, it works fine on other accounts. I Had the same problem several months ago and I got fed up with it to the point where I just made a new account and moved all my files over. that fixed the problem. but no it came back. if I try to go to the edit menu and click "select all" it won't let me because it is greyed out. I haven't changed anything. I don't want to have to go through creating a new account again because I have ALOT of files on my profile. I tried searching for anyone else who had the same problem, but nothing. it doesn't stop when i restart my computer. I've tried resetting all of the folder settings but that didn't fix it. I Have windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit, if that has anything to do with it.

Look at reply #3. Other posters said that the script solved their problem.

Best of luck.
