Is it possible for A Mp3 File to infect you?

Im just wondering.

I'm Looking at something on my forums and my members Have a MP3 up on RapidShare.

I was wondering if its possible for an infection.

Nobody has said anything.

Yes.
If you attempt to download any mp3, make sure, you scan every single downloaded file.
I assume, we're talking about legal downloads?:D

I dont know if its Illegal or not?

What should I scan it with?

EDIT: Actually Its one of those Fall into a trance things..

I doubt its legal. should I put up here for you to check?

attaching a virus to an mp3 is possible images, ect.... the best thing you can do is run scans.  any download of music that dont allow pay would violate the rules on CH
