Title: Firefox won't play sound!
Post by: jdude421 on October 17, 2008, 02:33:17 AM
I need some help people. The other day Mozilla Firefox quit playing sound on certain players. I think its mostly on any adobe flash players because for instance, myspace won't play music, the players all load and come up and say they are playing songs but there is no sound. This also happens on Youtube, videos play but still no sound. I think it might be on other players too but im not sure, these are the only two im certain of. I can here sound from my other programs like iTunes and such. And when i use Internet Explorer or Google Chrome (recently trying it out) everything works fine. Ive tried uninstalling/reinstalling Adobe Flash player and firefox, i have all the latest versions of these but still nothing.

any help will be MOST appreciated. Thanks.

Download  no_sound_in_browsers.reg (http://z2.invisionfree.com/ComputerHelp/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=4141692) file to your desktop.
Double click on it, and allow registry merge.
Restart computer.

When did this problem start? Do you think it may be the cause of a recent download or install?
