When I send an email with a photo attached, the receiver gets 102 emails for each one, all as .dat which they can neither read nor see a picture.
I am using XP. I have had the PC for a year and until recently had worked properly.
The only change I made was to add a webcam about three weeks ago. Could this have caused a problem?
I hope someone can help,
Thanks, Gill

How are you sending these emails?
-
Using Microsoft outlook I make a new email and usually drag the photo onto the email page. This has worked for me for years. Since this problem I have tried attaching the photo, using the attachment paper clip. The same thing happens either way.

When you send .jpgs do all the recipients experience this, or is it just one particular recipient? I ask because it is possible the problem is not on your end.

Unfortunately it's everyone.

I found this:

Thank you!

OE->Accounts->Properties->Advanced Tab
Uncheck Break apart messages larger than xxx)
This was the problem.
Thanks for your help and for spending the time to research.
