Title: keyboard on laptop not working correctly
Post by: guxtavo on October 26, 2008, 10:30:51 AM
Hello, thank you for your time. My problem is the next:

I have a laptop compac. It has windows vista home basic installed. It used to work fairly well but the other day i plugged in a wireless USB keyboard & mouse. The first time both the wireless and the keyboard on the laptop worked fine, but for some reason, the laptop's keyboard started to work strange.

After a system restart, the keyboard worked again but after i plugged the wireless keyboard again it worked strange again. So far i have to write with my wireless keyboard because the laptop's keyboard do not work. I will give you a sample of the keyboard input:

q w e r t y 4 5 6 * ´ +
 a s d f g h 1 2 3 - { }
z x c v b n 0 , . +

as you can see, the damaged keys are "u, i, o, p , j , k, l, ñ, m, and -"

computer is a compaq presario c700, windows vista basic, intel celeron

I have tried restarting the system but it doesnt work :(. I dont know what else information could you require.
Thanks for your time again.

just for future reference, it was just a problem with the block num on the keyboard. After pressing FN + bloq num it fixed.

Thanks anyway for your time
