Recently purchased a Creative Live! Cam and everytime I try to start Video Chat with my friend, my computer shuts down. I assumed it could be the Driver which I did find out was out of date. So I attempted to update it and it tells me I need to uninstall the old driver before I can install the new one. However when trying to do so I get this message:

Note. I get asked to uninstall the driver right before this "uninstall" progress window and mass "?" box open.

What is your exact camera model number/name?
Has it always worked?
What Operating System?
-
Live! Cam Video IM (VF0350)
Never. I bought it last night.
Windows XP SP3
-
Google says it's simply Plug and Play.
Did the webcam come with a CD?
-
Yes it came with a CD that installed the Driver and a bunch of software I don't need. Even after installing the driver from the CD the first time I got the "???" message box.

Try uninstalling the driver and software and then reinstalling the entire disc.
