Here's another java error but i lost it. oooooo96 something like that.

I have windows XP SP2 Pentium 4
Nvidia Geforce AGP 7600 GT 512 MB
Ram 4GB
Hd 300GB
Sony DVD RW DRU-800A
unpartition drive 80GB
floppy drive
direct 9x is installed

i really don't know how to explain this so bare with me and if i forget something or don't tell you .. kill me later.

everytime i have a fresh install and play runescape the game will crash and i will be off the internet!  There are time when i just go to the site and before login... it will crash and i will be off the internet. "This only happens on my PC... Runescape is fine"

I have internet explorer 6.. I did try to update my PC with explorer 7 and try firefox... it still gave me the same problem.

i even try to update my chipset drivers for my motherboard which is a a "PX865PEC PRO"

My bios is up to date: phoenix-awardbios V6.00pg.

in the past when i was getting this error... i did have a Nvidia Geforce 6200 AGP and that gave me the same problem.

I install another XP OS that my brother-inlaw doesn't use anymore... and it still gave me the same problem.

I test my motherboard, ram,HD,video card for issues and there fine.

Could this be a PSU issue? The reason I'm asking this is because i have alot of components connected to it  in side the PC. Do i need to upgrade the PSU?

I also contact java support and they said java was fine.

Note: when i did a fresh install i made sure that i had adaware install "spyware remover"... since runescape was the only site i decide to go to with this fresh install PC... i don't think it's malware in the PC
PSU 450W
ATX Switching Power supply

Thanks again!

did support tell you to uninstall java and reinstall it?

try this link  http://www.computerhope.com/cgi-bin/systeminfo.cgi

what java are you running?  I use a diff one than windows

The support did uninstall it and install it and went into the registry too.

I did that with the first fresh install... so what ever he done... i already did it.

as for the Java I have ....
Java 6 standard edition  Ver 6 update 10 (build 1.6.0_10-b33)
sun.

doesn't make any sense that's why i'm wondering if this is a PSU... maybe i need more power.

i also did chkdsk /r/p and everthing is fine
thanks for getting back! :)

Little bit unclear to me.
When exactly does this error happen?
When you install SP2 on XP, and trying to play Runscape?
Without SP2, it doesn't happen?
Does it happen only with Runscape?

P. S. It looks to me like some software conflict.

SP2 is installed before i play the game... i need it anyway for my antivirus programs which is AVG.
so the answer to that question is yes, I have SP2 installed than i play the game.

does it happen only with runescape..hmmm  no or it may seem..... before it would only happen when i played runescape, now when i go to like pogo or what ever just to test things out that supported Java after i had a problem with runescape it would crash on other games.

I havn't try runescape without SP2 yet... when i put a fresh install of Xp... it's not a restore CD... it's XP and the motherboard drivers Audio and network drivers.

Java of course and AVG antivirus.
SP2 with it.

I can't see how much of a conflict i can have with so little software... than again, i maybe the lucky winner

so Broni , do you think i should try it without SP2 just to see what happens?

thanks and i hope that info help.

No, no. Your post was little bit unclear, that's why I asked.
I'll keep searching.

Try to reinstall Java.
If that doesn't help, go back to Update 7.

Go Start>Run (Start Search in Vista), type in:
msconfig
Click OK (hit Enter in Vista).

Click on Startup tab.
Click Disable all

Click Services tab.
Put checkmark in Hide all Microsoft services
Click Disable all.

Click OK.
Restart computer in Normal Mode.

See, if same thing happens.

Broni, I had a feeling you bring this part up next.. I would have too.

I try it anyway and it was still giving me issues!

anyhow, what i can tell you that I notice as far as I can see.. when i go to runescape the java or what ever goes crazy and disconnects me with the error you saw... after that, the explorer starts encontering error ....  and needs to close, the explorer also close when i was on computerhope too... that why i decide to start over to see where the problem coming from. The explorer problem happen after i went to runescape.

Also what i notice is the AVG had problems too.. I wish i wrote this down... DAM.

anyway, I reinstall the PC to take one step at a time to recreate the problem.

The only thing that's install as of right now is my motherboard drivers, Lan and Audio.

I only have SP1 that came with the XP CD.

I have No antivirus and i only came to this website first
Thanks again

hi Broni,  ok.. after i did a fresh install, i install my motherboard drivers, Java 6 update 10,Mozilla fox3.0.4

Nvidia geforce agp 6200, realtek AC97 audio, Via Rhine- family fast Ethernet Adapter, Windows installer 3.1 (Kb893803), Windows XP Service Pack 2

note: this is my old video card 6200 that is install now!... not the 7600GT which was install before.. I need a better PSU for that witch needs more power.

I did go into the Msconfig and made sure my startup tab with all the programs where disable and went into the service tab like you said Broni and uncheck them too... not microsoft.

Internet explorer 6 when i was playing pogo first crash with explorer saying it had to close because it enconter a problem. .... it also restarted the PC the secound time i try it. it said in event viewer faulting app for explorer.

so, i install firefox and java was fine with pogo.
I played runescape with firefox and it crash and it also restarted the PC. it also had a faulting app in event viewer.

Let me know if you need anymore info and i hope this time i was clear.

thanks again!

Go Start>Run ("Start Search" in Vista), type in:
sfc /scannow
Click OK (hit Enter in Vista).
Have Windows CD/DVD handy.
If System File Checker (sfc) will find any errors, it'll ask you for the CD.
If sfc won't find any errors in Windows XP, it'll simply quit, without any message.

Broni, I don't think it work.. I did try this before the fresh install.
I did try it again and it said "files that are required for windows to run properly must be copied to DLL cache"
"insert your windows xp pro CD- Now.

after i did do the System file checker i took the XP CD out and try it again and type sfc /scannow and it said the same thing  ...

meaning the  "files that are required for windows to run properly must be copied to DLL cache"
"insert your windows xp pro CD- Now. This shouldn't happen... am I right?

could this XP be bad?
I did have a microsoft office cd that had close to the same problem and that went bad.. just the second CD only thank god.

I could always try another OS just to see if this is a runescape issue.. i know it sounds crazy but, i do have all my backups in check!

thanks again :)

Broni, My XP pro CD itself had a virus  so, every time i installed it... it would put a virus on the PC.

I had a problem like this in the past.
"Norton 2004 had CD had a virus"

I told Microsoft about this issue that it could be a virus at first they didn't believe me the CD had a virus but after awhile it hit them in the head too.

I just hope they can replace the CD.

I'll let you know what happen.. and how this new install goes anyway!

Thanks again. :)

No it wasn't a joke...
Any original XP CD won't have a "virus" on it...
Either you were infected prior to this or there are elements missing from your story...

If original M$ CD had a virus, you may simply forget everything, and sue them.
Believe me, if it's the case, you can already prepare a suitcase for million dollar suit WON!

patio, I was not infected prior to this and there are no elements missing from my story.

I'm not Lying Patio, The XP CD is real.
Even if I could sue Microsoft  Broni.. do you think I would even win over a $200-300 XP Pro software OS ???

I think not... as far as there concern... i am a nobody ::) They would just Laugh this out of court and Toss me a XP CD or refund me $200-300 cash. not saying it wouldn't be worth looking into.
however, I talk to a Microsoft Tech and he confirm everthing I did and said was correct.
Microsoft Tech also said it was a virus. I believe myself it's either a Virus or a bad CD that is detecting  a virus "a confuse CD" I really don't know about that part.... i am no programmer.... either case it's still bad

patio, do you believe everything Microsoft does is legal or Perfect?

Microsoft Xbox New system.. console was bad and they knew it... of course there where millions of complaints.

I test my system myself and i'm no rookie.... but I don't know everything. unlike some people here that think they do.

Patio, i know your trying to help or insult... I really don't know and  i don't care because it is only your opinion at this point. If this was a fake XP CD i would have just pay for one now and made sure there was a good CD in there.. not some copy that maybe infected that i couldn't fix and this post would have never been here if this was a fake copy.

I'll let you know the outcome of this... just for learning experience. :)

Patio, one more thing , just so you understand that i'm not being smart but the way you write some times does seem to look like you are. I'm just Glad this is only text... and people tend to read into things.... including myself ;D

Thanks for getting back
 Patio and Broni, spider :)

i have windows xp home sp3 now installed in preferance to xp pro (xp pro was showing error 0xc0000005 for about 3 weeks and some other minor errors ie a virus.so i figured i have no real necessity for xp pro and a cheaper option was to get xp home! now i have xp home installed i still receive the popup (windows needs to shutdown internet explorer! to continue click ok) this popup also shows the error number 0xc0000005. from what i have sourced from M/soft they inform me that this is related to graphics driver updates in conjunction with javascript updates so to all people who have this problem ensure you are d/loading the appropriate java script to match your graphics driver. i have this problem popup specifically on M/soft pages others seem ok to date ! but i do find it extemely hard to believe that M/soft are supplying virus ridden cds for d/load population i do not know if my system is sweet yet as i just updated 10 mins ago but will let you all know the real deal!! virus-cd-who

ok the problem does still exist athough i have a rather old nvidia 2 mx/400 there is still compatible java script available in their archives files to which mine are installed and compatible, so it may be due to another scenario, possibly my 3 day old registered M/soft cd  home sp3 contains the same virus that spiders cd had ! what are the chances ...i would not think so due to lack of posts regarding the same error info. if anyone can ellaborate on this topic i would be extremely interested thank you. what is syntax this occured on the old xp pro with the same error number!! thanks
