Title: LSA Shell Export Version (Sasser virus?

Hi
My PC (XP Service Pack 2)is infected with LSA Shell Export Version (Sasser virus?). My McAfee and AVG scans do not detect the virus even in safe mode. AdAware SE Pro V6.2 detects many critical items within 10 secs of scanning then my computer reboots after about 30 secs. I tried the "shutdown -a" command with no success. I can browse any internet site
with no problems. My computer stays running until I try to use AdAware SE Pro V5. No other program seems to detect this virus. ANY suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I have tried the various AV programs listed on this forum - they do not detect anything.

Please, if you are to follow our guide (which I recommend), do not follow anyone else's advice until we are through. We have some very specific virus removal instructions.

Hi

Further to my sasser virus problem, I did the following:
uninstalled ad aware se pro V5, scanned the computer with kaspersky av.
the las shell export version error message has disappeared and all appears well. but i did not find any virus in the scan. do you think that this problem is solved? i am running xp service pk2.

I would at least post a HijackThis Log for our Malware Specialists to look at.
