Title: Hiding email address
Post by: solarimd on December 15, 2008, 03:44:42 PM
Does anyone know if you can hide your email address from showing in outgoing mail?   I would like to send a surprise email without the recipient knowing who sent it.

Sorry, but we don't help with computer pranks.  And besides, I don't think Outlook supports this.  Even if it did, it wouldn't be hard to trace the e-mail back to you.

It's net that I don't want it traced back to me.  It was just for surprise and then I would let them know that I sent the surprise.

Well, regardless, I don't think Outlook even allows ghost mail.  And because this sort of thing can be used improperly, we try to avoid giving instructions because this is a public forum that can be accessed by anyone, including those with ill intentions.  If you search hard enough, you can find a solution.
