Why would i be opening a Wordpad doc. instead of looking at a screenshot ? ?
-
why not , can i put the square on this screen ?? , if so tell me how please
can you help with the question , harry
-
I can't believe I opened that.
That's a cool looking square you've got there, dude. I'd keep it around for a bit until you learn to PRNT SCRN RUN WINDOWS MSPAINT CTRL V CTRL S JPG SAVE AS.
Anyhow, if all your pictures come out like that, Outlook Express or whatever E-mail client you 're using is most likely blocking pictures 'for your protection'. A bar should pop-up notifying you of this.

i use yahoo for mail and i get photos from everywhere except 2 friends , my settings let all photos through ,

Do they include it with the E-mail or do they upload them to a website and then somehow display them in the E-mail?
What happens when you right click on the picture and select "Copy address", paste the address into the address bar and press enter?
-
they are in an e-mail that they recieve and then they are sent to me
i will try now what said to do, harry

So, other than those 2 friends, you can receive photos, right? How do those 2 friends do their email? Do they use Outlook Express, or what? Do you know for sure that other recipients those friends send mail to can view the photos?

i do not think i'm going to find the answer to this because i have tried time and again for the answer
i just delete them , but its just the fact that it happens and it stumps everyone

Well, if you can't get answers to these questions, further discussion here may be futile because such info could reveal the underlying problem. In other words, the problem may be at their end and, unless they're willing to participate in exploring solutions, a solution may never be achieved.

i understand what you say but i thought i would give it one more try to understand what was happening
so thanks for your help , all the best , harry

OK, here's an example of a potential cause at their end. If they are using Outlook Express (OE), it can be set to not send pictures when sending email. They may have that setting enabled and not be aware of it.
-
ok soybean i will contact them and ask them to check that setting , harry

Where is that setting in OE?
I do know of a setting that causes all files to be blocked from downloading but not from sending?

Tools, Options, Send (tab), HTML Settings, and uncheck the box for "Send pictures with messages".

Thanks.
