Title: File association of GIF file in Outlook Express
Post by: burton on December 23, 2008, 07:16:12 AM
Hello,

When I click on a GIF-attachment to open in Outlook Express, the following error message occurs:
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel. "

I did actually find the Folder Option in the control panel and associated GIF to the Paintbrush program, but I still get the same error message. Strangely, when I copy the attachments and paste them locally on the desktop, I can open them without any problem. (It was also working like that previously aswell)

Does it nead an expert tweak in the registry to get this fixed, or is it an Outlook Express problem?

Thanks, Burton

Try right clicking a .gif image and select Open With and check "always use this app to open this filetype "
