Dear Sir,
I am using xp os. I have lots of songs , videos and photos in my pc. But the problem is that when ever I am in home and listening to music. If any of my frnd comes in home. They ask me to give them my whole songs . So I want to know is there any idea through which my frnd cannot copy my pc famous songs and videos. I am asking you this tips bcz I cannot say no also to my frnd otherwise they will get angry on me. So if u will say me some method . I will do it on my pc and will not allow my frnd to copy or move my songs to their pen drive or in their blank cd.
I hope you will give me a good solution.
Regards.

It took my several attempts before I was able to 'read' your post. Apologies, but I cannot really understand.
So you want to protect your songs or hide your songs?
Sometimes, you just have to say NO.

Actually like when i am playing a song. and if somebody tells me tht he want that song. So instead of telling him no. Is there any method through which copy or move option is not highlighted. So that i can tell my frnd that there is a problem in my pc. In it i cannot copy or paste.
Or simply u tell me to lock the usb port and cd rom drive.

Just say no...if he doesn't understand that have him call Nancy Reagan.

Just say 'I'll give it to you later'. That's what I do, and it works every time.

I know I could possibly get a big flame for this, but you could DRM your music files you rip from now on so even if he took them they would be useless to him.
Unless of course he knows how to reverse it ;D
Also now it would require you to keep a backup of your DRM information in case of disk failure.
